Micro Writing Assignment 3:
Questions about Texts

Professor Clarence Uher

Assignment: Your next macro assignment is a comparison/contrast paper on some topic we have discussed in class. For this micro, write a proposal for that paper. Your proposal should be typed, double spaced, and no more than a page in length. Your proposal should be comprised of the thesis for your paper, and the possible sources that you will be using to support your thesis. I would prefer that you use the text that we are using in class as source material. However, if you prefer to go to outside sources, include bibliographic information in your proposal.

Purpose: The purpose of this micro is to gain experience in the formal aspects of generating a paper topic. It may be rare that one is asked to submit a formal proposal on a paper topic; however this task brings to light a fundamental element of any well prepared written work ------ organization.

Due Date: Wednesday, March 19, 1997. NOTE: If you "have no idea" of what you want to write about by Monday, March 17, see me for suggestions.
