Micro Writing Assignment 2:
Questions about Texts
Professor Clarence Uher
Assignment: Write three study questions for the Manifesto of
the Communist Party. Your questions can focus on any aspect of
the Manifesto that you find important. The purpose of a study
question is to help a reader extract important terms,
concepts, arguments, ideas, etc., from a text. You should be
writing your questions with a purpose of guidance in mind. I
will be selecting a number of questions from those submitted.
We will use the selected questions in class to generate
discussion on the Manifesto.
Purpose: Writing a good study question requires a
comprehensive understanding of the subject. The question is
intended to guide the reader to, and through, important
aspects of a text. In order to guide others, one must have
knowledge of the territory they navigate. Your study
questions should reflect your depth of understanding of the
Manifesto of the Communist Party.
Due Date: Wednesday, March 12,- 1997. (By 5:00
