Welcome the the CHEM 785 Amino Acid Tutorial.
On the left you should see a menu lisint of all 20 standard amino
acids. By clicking your pointer on any residue and clicking one,
you will be taken to an informational page on that residue. There
is a two-dimensional representation as well and a three-dimensional view.
To view the 3-D image your Netscape browser must have the Chemscape Chime
Plugin. You can download this directly from the address below:

To move the molecule, place your pointer on the image and press the
left hand button of your mouse. With the button depressed, the movements
of your mouse will be mimiced by the image. To change style, perspective
of color, etc. of the image, point to the image and depress the right hand
mouse button. A number of options will appear. Try out a variety
to get familiar with what you can do with the image.
